Increasing the Public Voice of Statistics
—
By promoting the Public Voice, we expand the world of Statistics and Data Science
The International Statistical Institute has a unique position as the worldwide body of statisticians from all disciplines – academic, government, research and business – not linked to any government or interest group. It is part of our mission to speak up for the profession on topical statistical issues.
The Public Voice Committee strives to promote the importance of statistics in addressing critical issues of our time and increase the profile of statistics in our community.
Kerrie Mengersen, Committee Chair
The public voice of statistics is critical for societal advancement and improvement. The International Statistical Institute seeks to present unbiased perspectives of statisticians from around the world.
It promotes debates, statistical perspectives, and discussions on current issues.
